CHECK GRAIN NOW FOR PEST INFESTATIONS

Following the wet weather at harvest and the unseasonably warm temperatures this autumn, Nickerson are advising growers to monitor their grain stores regularly before pest infestations get established.

"We are already getting people ringing for advice where pests are being spotted," says Nickerson's Joss Vincent. 

"Last season saw rejection levels higher than average.  Combined with the prolonged warm weather that we are currently experiencing, and the high pressure of grain-store pests carried over, the likelihood of re-infestation is high where storage conditions are less than ideal."

Where moisture and temperature is above target, Nickerson are recommending an application of Pro-Store to help prevent pest infestation.
