Harvesting Alchemy

Jim Beeden, of Flagleaf Farming, is pictured harvesting Alchemy winter wheat in perfect conditions on Sunday, 21st August.

The crop was grown for seed by Turley Farms, based near Lincoln.

The combine was running at 52.3 tonnes an hour and the crop yielded 10.5 t/ha. It was drilled in late September at 110kg/ha, following oil seed rape.
