Designer Range

Our philosophy with the Designer brand has always been to deliver a range of amenity grass mixtures which meet the exact requirements of our varied end users - whether they be landscapers, local authorities or sports clubs.

To achieve this aim we constantly draw on our long technical and practical experience within this specialised area. Our extensive trialling system ensures that we know how every single one our grass varieties will perform - either sown alone or part of a well balanced formulation.

As an integral part of the world's 4th largest seed company we also have access to a wide range of amenity grass cultivars which we can select for inclusion in the various mixtures in the Designer range.

An attractive lawn, a superb sports field or an extensive country park all start out with a strong foundation - top quality amenity grass seed. In our new and very well equipped seed-testing laboratory we monitor the purity and germination of all the grasses which are used in the Designer range.

Headstart®, our innovative grass seed treatment, provides major benefits to everybody who sows amenity grass seed. These benefits are multiplied up whenever the treated seed is sown under less than ideal conditions. For example, under difficult conditions Headstart® treated seed has the potential to deliver 70% more plants than seed which has not been treated.

The first covers our Domestic Lawngrass range - 2 mixtures (Estate and Formal) which are available in 2.5 kilo units.  The other PDF describes our Colour Splashes range of non-native annual flower species which, as the name suggests, can provide an eye catching display on roundabouts, in municipal gardens and other areas.
