Odyssey has good physical grain characteristics with a high specific weight and very low levels of screenings. Odyssey has a high hot water extract and is a non-GN (Glycosidic Nitrile) producer making it highly suitable for both brewing and distilling.

Odyssey has shown a very high potential in treated trials, 3% above Propino and 13% above Optic. Odyssey also has an excellent untreated yield, 2% above Propino. Odyssey is the highest yielding spring barley (malting or feed) on the 2012 HGCA Recommended List.
