Limagrain has its own breeding programme for Winter Oilseed Rape, the UK's major oilseed crop and represents other breeders' varieties for Winter Oilseed Rape and some of the specialised oil crops such as Linseed and Linola.

We have a coordinated European Rape Seed breeding programme which targets the key markets: France, Germany, UK and Eastern Europe.

The UK arm of this programme is lead by Dr. Jo Bowman (pictured right). Both hybrid and conventional material feature in the Limagrain UK WOSR programme. The emphasis is on producing high yielding varieties with high oil content and sound agronomic characteristics.
